A home for the local RRT
The Church has an established record of supporting the local community in St Helens and the surrounding Merseyside area. This includes through the Rapid Relief Team, a charity made up of volunteers from the Church.
A new facility to support the Rapid Relief Team is proposed as part of the plans for Rainhill Place, with the hub acting as a local operational base to coordinate the charity’s outreach activity while also providing a safe space to store the charity’s equipment.
Located at the heart of Rainhill Place, this new facility would sit within a dedicated space for the not-for-profit organisation, Campus & Co.
Campus & Co is a chain of small supermarkets run by volunteers of the Church, with all profits funding important educational and charitable programmes.
This new Campus & Co store would also support the Church’s philanthropic work, with all proceeds reinvested into education, charity and other community outreach programmes run by the Church.
The Campus & Co store draws on the tried and tested design, while incorporating additional elements that allow it to fit within its natural setting.
